Willful Ignorance

I saw this on Pharyngula, and thought that certain troll-like commenters here might find it enlightening. It fits in nicely with discussion we were having in some of the past posts about ignoring evidence, the Bible, and all the other willful ignorance they like to espouse.

Danger, Will Robinson! Danger! It will shake your religious preconceptions, but only if you have an open mind.

Ten to one they won’t watch it beyond the first minute.

First minute? Hell, I’m not watching it at all! What for? Do you take anything I say seriously? What do I care what a collection of blasphemous infidels have to say about things they know shit about? They’re all morons!

I’m just letting you know I’m not bowing to threats or blackmail about the way I choose to handle your ignorant buddies. If you can’t handle them, that’s fine, I will. If you can’t handle my handling them, that’s too bad. Either way, your ultimatum to me is accepted… I’m shipping out! You’ll not be holding me hostage like those bozos have you as their hostage.

Oh, and don’t be telling me how to manage my blog or what I can write on it. As for that shit-for-brained Metcalfe’s tacit admission of guilt, well, many courts would accept that as well as anything else. Didn’t you know that, Mr. Lawyer? Where were you when that other asshole, Jim Crawford, tried labeling me as a homo-killer by a statement I made on Evo’s blog that was merely designed to ferret him out of the woodwork? You were all for literal applications of guilt, then, weren’t you? It’s just a matter of what tickles your ear and what doesn’t, isn’t it, John? Philly’s tongue seems to have that job covered, though.

I’ll probably post a proper disclaimer to all of your accusations, later, on my blog, complete with a copy of this comment. I don’t trust you to post anything of mine accurately, anymore.

So long, John. Maybe I’ll visit your grave, 10,000 years from now… if I can find it!

  2. The Living Dinosaur is a YouTube buddy of mine. I discovered him when he had a couple of hundred subscribers. He has several thousand now and continues to move up fast. I told him from the beginning that he would be one of the big YouTube atheist channels.

Interesting coincidence – he recently moved to Kentucky. Lexington, no less. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I kept looking for a reference to the Ancient Atheist. You need to have a talk with him.

…he recently moved to Kentucky. Lexington, no less.

Lexington? Now who else do we know that lives in that backwater? ๐Ÿ˜‰
