There’s not a lot I can say about the following story that isn’t so obvious, it needs no comment, so I will make this short.
A thirteen year old girl in Somalia was raped by three men. Under Islamic Law, that rape means that she committed adultery, the penalty for which is death by stoning. Guess what the authorities did? If you guessed that they stoned her to death, you are correct. And not only did they stone her to death, they did it in a stadium with over 1000 apparently bloodthirsty onlookers, cheering on the men with stones.
Repeat after me. A thirteen year old girl who was brutally raped was stoned to death because the rape was considered adultery.
Now you tell me: if you were a woman in that country, why in Allah’s name would you even think of reporting a rape?
Islamic law is just a license to rape.

That’s the problem when you have people with mental problem interprets their law anchored on religion…… it is difficult enough to follow the rule of law per se what more with the rule of madmen issuing verdicts according to their religious belief bordering on superstition.
Well, I guess we’d better bow toward Mecca and thank Allah that He imparted His benign, just law on people who would have been morally bankrupt had He not provided them with His gracious oversight and care. That goes double for women.

The very high degree of gender segregation in the first place ultimately increases sexual tensions between males and females. In Western societies, there is indeed sexual tension between the sexes in the workplace and the public square. In societies with even more gender segregation – coupled (no pun intended) with a pervasive and even deeper dearth of sexual outlets – sexual tensions can only worsen. This is ironic, considering that sharply limiting contact between males and females is often promoted as a way to reduce sexual tension. The actual effect is just the opposite. In part, rape serves as a quick and cheap way to lessen sexual frustration.

Bordering on superstition? ALL religion is superstition. That’s first. Second, the US isn’t exempt from that nonsense. Try:
• Blue laws
• Laws against public nudity
• Criminalizing specific sexual acts between consenting adults
• Automatic tax exemption for religions
• Criminalizing sex toys
• Denying equal rights for same sex partners
• Barring atheists from holding public offices
Those all are rooted in religion. Sure, we’re not stoning anyone to death, but we still have religion at the roots. Oh we can laugh at them for forcing their women to wear burkas, but we force women to cover parts as well, and when they don’t or barely do and end up rape, how many times has it been said, “she was asking for it”? That’s another nod to that whacko mindset.
Compared to the Muslim world, we’re crazy-lite.

Heh. That could help a bit, but masturbation is no substitute for actual sexual activity involving others. If it were, perhaps the latter would easily be obsolete in the large part. In that case, why would (say) a man go through the hassle, risk, and cost of attaining actual sex when he can just download free porn and masturbate? Why not attain the same end (i.e., sexual satisfaction) but by different means that are much quicker, safer, and easier? The problem is that the same end would in fact not be reached. There are clearly significant aspects to sexual satisfaction that are left untouched (no pun intended) by mere masturbation.
I will grant that some sexual tension can be released by masturbation, but only up to a point. Both masturbation and “substitutional” pederasty are likely to be fairly widespread in places like Somalia and Saudi Arabia, formal prohibitions notwithstanding.
Apparently unnoticed in all the noise is that Islamic men cannot commit adultery, else they would have been stoned to death too, no?
Or is it that if a woman rapes a married man the man would be deemed to have committed adultery and be stoned to death while the woman would suffer no consequences?
What if a man rapes a married man, and the raper is not gay, but got confused in the dark? Who gets stoned then?

While I agree with you entirely that if I was a woman living in an Islamic society, the last thing I’d ever do is report a rape, you have to remember that these women are just as deluded as the men and they think they *DESERVE* what they get. These women are culturally and religiously indoctrinated into agreeing with the idiotic nonsense spouted by the Muslim clerics to the point that they throw away their lives because someone else does something stupid.
It’s like the enemy prisoners of the Aztecs who stood complacently in line waiting to get their hearts cut out because they believed that’s what their gods wanted them to do.
I heard recently that this is why many Islamic women actually seek clitoral castration, because if castrated, they’re incapable of enjoying sex, ergo, they would have no reason to engage in sex, ergo, they could not possibly be willing participants and couldn’t be guilty.
Of course, they probably moved a little too provocatively under that burka or gave too seductive a look, which is why many Imams call for a full veil. Well hell, most of them call for the women to be locked away at home in a box, never to be seen by anyone, like a penis pump or a baby Jesus buttplug.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali states, in Infidel, that is not true. Of course, there are several different procedures, some of which are not nearly as radical as others, so I guess the degree of pleasure lost depends on which procedure is employed. I find the whole idea of clitorectomy hideous. Why human beings are so frightened of sexuality is beyond me.
