The Humanist Symposium # 8

The latest Humanist Symposium, number eight, is now up and available over at Eliptica for your reading pleasure, or if you’re a Christian, in order to give you something to fume about. Or perhaps not if you take the articles in the spirit they are intended - a humanistic one.

Apparently, I have not submitted anything to it, but what is there is eminently readable, and I urge you to partake.

The President of the United States has claimed, on more than one occasion, to be in dialogue with God. I fail to see how the addition of a hairdryer makes the claim more ludicrous or more offensive. - Sam Harris
